This evening Hamilton’s Varsity girls soccer team came out victorious against their Coopersville opponents at home winning 3-0 to start out the season.
The Hawkeyes scored twice early on within the first half both assisted by sophomore Sarah Baker and lead scorer freshman Ashley Overbeek.
Early in the second half assisted again by Sarah Baker junior Emily Grady broke through Coopersville’s defense and scored the last goal for the remainder of the game leaving the score 3-0.
The Hawkeyes defense was strong keeping out many attempts of goal shots from the opposing side through out the game.
There were many injuries on Hamilton’s side but hopefully all will recover by their next away game on Wednesday.
